Samaki Tatu House

The guesthouse "Samaki Tatu" (Swahili for "Three Fish") is located at 1700 meters altitude, which offers an unforgettable view over the entire coffee plantation and beyond. Those who want to see more buffalos and elephants or refresh themselves in the pool will certainly feel at home here.

Stay in a private villa at the border of the Ngorongoro Park

Leaving the lower farm area uphill and driving across the coffee fields of Kifaru Coffee Estate, you reach our newly built guesthouse Samaki Tatu, at 1700 metres above sea level. Its name, "Three Fishes", is a reminiscence of the coffee farmer's home in Denmark.
Samaki Tatu is situated directly on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater and offers an unforgettable view of the coffee plantation as well as a game irrigation point. Wildlife corridors on the plantation allow wildlife, such as elephants and buffalo, to freely leave the national park and enjoy the designated lawns just next to the house.
The spacious house has five double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a pool and is designed for tour groups or families. Our "dormitory" in the attic with five bunk beds is also available for families with many children. The friendly team of our guest house takes care of the well-being of the guests and creates a perfect feel-good atmosphere. While you end the day with a "sundowner drink" on the terrace of Samaki Tatu, with a bit of luck, the elephants will come by to say goodnight.
